PSA: used furs for wildlife rehab

while looking up the store hours for the local buffalo exchange (do I have clothes I could sell? I think I might..) I happened upon a Humane Society program that collects used furs to help nurture young wildlife orphans: coats for cubs.

I don't know how many of you might have used furs that you would not wear and don't have a great sentimental attachment to, but if I had any, I know what I'd do with them.

I think this may be a good option for seal fur coats that you may have inherited from a parent or a grandparent. I don't think anyone is allowed to legally sell the things any more.

Oh, yay! I have a bolero-cut fox jacket from my grandmother that I've never known what to do with. It's been a few rounds with the moths, so it's not worth anything resale-wise, but I hate to just throw it out, so it's been sitting in my closet for a decade since she died.

Now I know what to do with it. :-)
