pulling all the stops

I just posted four prints for sale at etsy. it is much cheaper to list stuff there than on ebay and since it is art and most people think art is for chumps I don't expect to lose quite as much money there as I did trying to sell my prints on ebay. I'm selling full color stuff this time; I might also list my black and white drawings after I have enough money in the bank to go buy good paper to print them on.

I ripped the few cd's on my A-list that hadn't already made it to my hard drive; they are now bundled up and ready to be sold to Aquarius Records when they open in a couple of hours. some of them I bought there. not the best return on an investment but at least I do get to keep copies of the music. it's weird giving up cd's. these days I buy/download most of my music online as mp3s or aacs or whatever is available but I still don't want to give up the physical disks to some of my old sentimental favorites.

which is just as well, as aquarius wouldn't buy those. but amoeba might..

in any case, I'm staying in the neighborhood. whatever aquarius gives me goes directly into my bank account, and then I come back here to pick up a suitcase and duffel bag full of old clothes to take to the buffalo exchange. I hope they aren't inundated by sellers this xmas season, although I suspect people might just be doing more shopping there than usual since nobody has any money. so maybe they'll need all my old 36" waist levis. I throw in a few nordstrom rack duds that looked better in the dressing room than on the street. they're colorful and hip; I'm sure they'll buy at least one or two things.

then if there is time, I will nap before therapy at 2. if not, I will run home after therapy and try to pass out for about five hours, then get up and go play street poet for a while at the same place as last week: Wells Fargo on Mission at 22nd. after that I'll come home and sleep some more; I need to be awake tomorrow between 1 and 5pm so that the gas company can come and light our pilot light so that we can stop with the five layers of thermal underwear indoors. I've been putting handwarmers in my pockets at night while I sit and work or whatever. we've managed to dip down around 30F the last couple of nights, which is darned cold for here, and too cold not to have something approximating central heat, which is all our heater does anyway, but it's better than nothing.

I hope I'm rich by 2am. if I'm not I'll just.. go out and try it again tomorrow, I guess. :/

it's where I stand outside in the freezing cold during hipster hours, reading my writing to whomever passes by. with a little box for tips, of course. :)

last week I made $7.

yeah it's interesting. for some people, as long as you are doing something, they will give you a buck or two.

I haven't yet been to either of the places the Tom Waddell social worker referred me to. it is looking like I am going to have to either find email contact information for them or call them at night and leave a message, as getting myself to call when someone might answer the phone is a bit of a challenge. I could just walk in, but every morning this week I've either been running round madly or sleeping.

one drawback to the night watch is that I have a limited amount of time to do things during business hours. on the other hand I'm getting a lot of stuff done that is actually important to me that I'd been putting off for a long time. it all works out, I think. or we'll all totter along more or less intact until it's all over..

thank you. I will keep an eye on your househunting and post a discreet advertisement at a strategic moment. :)
