Why do people get bent out of shape about unknown callers calling their cellphones? Especially if no message is left, thus incurring no time or money spent wasted on collecting a useless message?

Maybe some people use their phones differently from the way I do (no! could it be??), but if I see "Unknown" or an unrecognizable number on my screen, I hit the Ignore button. That's all I have to do. I should be grateful to them for making me get the thumb exercise, don't you think? Or am I likely to develop repetitive stress injuries from repeatedly not answering my phone?

I don't get the furor.

my tracphone's only on when i'm out & about. otherwise, i'm in a deadzone here at the ranch, so they can call anytime they want and i'll ignore the sh** out of 'em.

except for a while, this poor confused old lady kept calling me from DC, asking me why i wasn't coming by to get my stuff. i should've called to tell her i'm not her daughter and she had the wrong number, but i couldn't bring myself to do that. she finally stopped calling.

i am a bad citizen.

yeah for awhile a doctor's office was leaving reminders for Blaine's next-day appointments. if it had kept up I might have talked myself into calling them back to let them know that I was not Blaine (and that's why I do not identify myself as "Blaine" on my voicemail message..) but I was hoping that Blaine would straighten things out with them before it came to that pass, and apparently he did, for they stopped abruptly about two weeks ago.

I am also a bad citizen but the world just has to put up with us to get the good stuff. :)
