I've never done this before

the "friday five" as propagated by ticktockmary. see I'm waiting for the post-shower sweat to dry so I can put on clothes. and you wonder why I view showers as mostly useless. this wasn't a hot shower. tepid. tepid showers make me sweat. well actually it's the drying off afterwards in the humid bathroom that works me up. maybe I should go dripping naked down the hall to my room to dry off. I'm sure S would find that amusing.

anyway.

1) Of everything in your wardrobe what do you feel the most comfortable wearing? Why?

baggy jeans, old black tshirt or subdued blue flannel shirt depending on thickness of fog, wigwam merino wool socks, caterpillar or frye boots. wallet chain.

2) How would you describe your style?

aging urban slacker denim slouch-chic. wallet chain and flannel shirt. maybe I'm still dressing grunge. the horror.

3) How many pairs of shoes do you own and do you wear them all?

12 pair. I'd own more but am would be somewhat ashamed of myself if I sent off for yet another Zappo's shipment. the ups guy recognizes me even away from the house now.

I wear most of them. the size 8 docs are a little too big and developed blister-inducing wrinkles at the heels. I am very proud of my two pair of dressy shoes but I hardly ever have a chance to wear them.

4) Where do you buy most of your clothes?

Macy's and Urban Outfitters. Macy's because they gave me a charge card, the fools, and Urban Outfitters because I don't seem to have noticed that I'm over 40. I saw a 50ish looking guy in there once so feel justified for the next ten years although I have to say I find things I like less and less often there. sometimes I go into Kenneth Cole but only on days when I don't feel like my belly is sticking out a mile in front.

5) What was the last piece of clothing you bought?

Levi's at Macy's. before that, shoes from Zappos.com. no wait. merino wool socks from REI. have I told you about the enormous number of socks I own?
