fortunately the vet's office is only blocks away so winning my way back in was not too difficult.
they happily munch now and I can start actually waking up.
classes are over but I'm holding office hours this week as they work on their take-home final which really is a 5-page paper or 2 3-page papers. I don't anticipate much in the way of student visits which is fine. they all are doing pretty good work and if they are interested in the finer points of existentialism and phenomenology they should go and talk to Michael anyway as these are not my areas of special expertise.
I am however in shock that the semester is almost finished. does this ever stop? I don't see how I'm going to get out of grad school before I'm 60--time goes by so fast that I can't get a damned thing done.
which reminds me I need to get my writings out to the journals that Lyn directed me to. if I'm going to become a famous poet I must start somewhere. the throngs aren't going to come to my room and throw money at me.
it has taken me almost 43 years to figure this out.
