I think though I will have to restrain myself to just one chapter as I do still want to get to Gertrude Stein and the ethics of metonymy. there is a way there from Auschwitz but only if I betray a certain something by retaining the disposition to speak. but that's what this is all about anyway: speaking as betrayal.
