is it morning yet?

I'm going to go to bed right now and see how early I can wake up without drawn out alarm angst. I will set the alarm for 6:30 in case I don't get myself up before then--it is good to have a time you simply won't allow yourself to sleep past. until this new sleeping pattern occurred to me that was generally noon.

I have a ton of grading to do tomorrow and want to start early so that therapy at 9:30 is actually a break. then I can quit by, say, 2, and feel like I've put in a full day.

it helps that it's summer and I'm not trying to get up while it is still dark. we will see how this strategy works after the solstice has long since gone.
