altered states

I'm going to have to look up different types of meditation to see if sustaining alpha-stage sleep for half an hour while sitting bolt upright is something useful or not. I do it very well but I it isn't what I'm supposed to be doing and although it is a nice little nap it doesn't have quite the same effect as staying awake the whole time.

I've been on this cycle the past couple of months where I spend a few days in a row sleepwalking like this. I don't know what it's about; either the T is coming on very slowly or it has nothing to do with that cycle, but so taking a shot doesn't help right away. a few days pass and I can be wakeful again. I don't do anything in particular that seems to affect it one way or another.

I'd like to sleep today. I have things to do but I'd like to sleep.
