so difficult to decide.
then there's this sleeping cat in my lap who of course not only do I simply hate to disturb but he gets into so much less trouble when he's unconscious. lately he's been obsessed with this one drawar that is placed so that he can't open it because I keep things in it like found feathers and stuff and he smells the feathers and wants to chew on them because he's a little carnivore who likes every bit of the bird but he gets all wound up about this drawer and ends up knocking things on top of the cabinet over and pulling holes in the steel mesh "cloth" that I put on it and oh it just gets utterly annoying.
because he is obsessive like I am he will come back to it and come back to it and come back to it no matter what I do to try to distract or dissuade him. I haven't figured out yet how to let him get enough of what he wants to be satisfied while keeping my stuff intact. I gave him one feather out of the collection and that kept him busy for about five minutes when the positive reinforcement kicked in and he decided there would be more feathers if he went back to what he was doing.
behavior mod in cats is the trickiest thing. I might have to invest in a squirt gun.
