job offer

Dear Student,

I would like to bring to your attention a special part-time job opportunity during the academic year. Are you interested in being a mystery shopper?

You have probably heard about mystery shoppers. Their work is to watch movies, have dinners at elegant restaurants, shop at various stores, test different goods, etc. The best part is that you do your favourite activities for free, keep the products you have purchased, and get paid for your time and point of view!

We look for mystery shoppers willing to evaluate the quality of different products and customer services of restaurants, movie theaters, banks, stores, etc!

The job we offer you is flexible, rewarding, and does not involve a lot of time. You can easily combine your daily responsibilities with your work as a mystery shopper because you can choose only the assignments you like and work at a convenient time for you!

If you are interested, please reply to this email, so you can start this exciting job immediately!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

other than being in league with the man, are there any other reasons something like this would steal my soul? I'd at least be on the side of the poor service worker and would give glowing reviews for all but the most execrable service.

I wonder what sorts of things they'd send me to purchase. do you get to choose clothes that you like and that fit, or will they send me to buy polo shirts and khakis?

From the things I have seen, they reimburse you for minimal expense; but if you choose to keep items that you happened to purchase in the process, you foot the bill.

in general, you are asked to review specific services at specific stores and times they tell you to go.

there are legit companies that do this. if you are asked to lay out any cash to do this, like pay for a meal at BK, with your own money, they are a sham company.

If you can do this and fit their requirements of where, when, and what into your schedule, go for it.

be aware, your assignments may not be steady ones.

how do i know all this? i used to do this, set up the surveys, hire and supervise the 'research staff' and coordinate the gathered info and send it out to the companies, such as Burger King, Macy's, Mattel, that contracted for the work.

If you are seriously thinking of this, let me know.
