social anxiety

i don't know why it should be so stressful to carry on a conversation with my committee members but it is. none of them has yet called me an idiot or a lazy bum but every time i approach one of them it seems to be from a position of supplication. i am 40. i am a grownup. i can talk to them as to another grownup.

this is the downside of spending your life in school.

but i wrote all the emails and sent them and now await their answers. in the meantime i still don't know what the kant paper is going to be about and i must figure that out soon.
