so I did try a few more pages and then decided I needed to spend early sunday evening looking at things even if not buying but I did of course buy a couple of things: on sale was a brown bomber jacket that I was going to wear tomorrow to the campus that sits on top of a hill exposed mercilessly to the seabreeze meaning that it can be 90F at my house and you will still need a jacket if you go up there if there's fog it's always in the fog. there are no obstructions between it and the sea, immediately to the west. whose idea it was to put a university here in these few blocks I don't know but they apparently liked cold gray weather as much as I do but the problem of course is making the transition from mission street to the top of fulton street here at the tail end of 'summer' without sweating down here or freezing up there. jackets that can be stuffed in shoulder bags are key. this jacket seems pretty stuffable.

I saw some shoes I really liked but could not justify the $110 even on sale. I figured I could probably do better at zappos although instead of more shopping I am going to sit now. I'm still using music to keep me awake. we'll see--it's fairly soothing music.
